The Government of Goa, vide Notification No. 24/16/2021/LAB/203, has issued the draft notification of the Goa Code on Wages Rules, 2026. The proposed rules aim to regulate key wage-related matters including payment of wages, minimum wages, bonus, and equal remuneration in alignment with the Code on Wages framework. The draft notification is expected to streamline labour compliance procedures and strengthen employee welfare measures across industries and establishments in the state. Employers, HR professionals, and other stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft provisions carefully and submit suggestions or objections within the prescribed period mentioned in the notification.
