The Government of Gujarat has issued Circular vide Serial No. Sh.A.7/Te.3/Fa.No.241-2026/rachaa/Chattan/Sth.sw/2026/435 regarding the grant of leave to workers for voting in the municipal elections scheduled on 26th April 2026. The circular mandates employers to provide necessary leave to eligible employees to enable them to exercise their voting rights without any wage deduction. Employers are advised to review the circular and ensure compliance with election-related labour provisions.
